My art is a continuation of “action painting” from the mid-20th century.

The gesture or action with which I paint is as important to me as the painting itself.

This is art as testament: to the years of training, to the strength of my straps, to the daily agony and effulgent ecstasy of what it means to be an aerialist.

In the spring of 2020, I began to practice-for the first time-my craft of aerial straps outside, spinning and swinging on an outdoor rig. It was in this period between looking at the sky and brushing the grass with my feet that inspiration spoke to me: to express a different art while I’m in the air.

My aim is to bring something new to the conversation of action painting. And, hopefully, have that art communicate and express something to the viewer—to you.
